Latest News:

TONICA, IL (July 18) - With the recent loss of crew chief Shawn Gage, who headed for Tennessee to seek employment with Vic Hill Racing Engines and Scott Bloomquist Racing, Ryan Dauber has his back again up against the wall with ittle to no help at all on race nights.  Furthermore, a developing business opportunity has Dauber contemplating hanging up the helmet and selling out all of his equipment.  More on this developing story as it becomes available.  For now, race fans should expect to see Dauber Saturday night at Fairbury, where he has had tremendous success over the past month or so, recording three wins, a runner-up, and a fine fourth place showing in the UMP Summernationals.

FAIRBURY, IL (June 28) - Ryan Dauber picked up his second win of the season, the site of his first as well, as he passed early race leader Ryan Unzicker with 13 laps remaining in the 30-lap affair to earn the $1200 top prize.  Dauber started outside pole after finishing a distant second to Unzicker in the fast heat (Lock 8) race.  But as the night progressed, finishing second looked like the place to be with the outside line seemingly being the fast way around.  Dauber would also qualify third fastest overall among the 29 entries with a 13.160 effort.

LAWRENCEBURG, IN (June 27) - The UMP Summernationals rolled into a newly reconfigured Lawrenceburg Speedway.  With 36 cars on hand, Ryan Dauber qualified fourth in group four with a lap of 14.00, which would stand to be 15th best overall.  He would start and finish fourth in heat four, thus being relegated to the B Main, where he would start fourth and finish fifth, but still earn a transfer spot into the 40-lap A Main where he would start 17th on the grid.  From there, Dauber would creep his way near the top 10 and eventually finish 11th.  For complete race results and wrap-up, visit www.DirtonDirt.com

DANVILLE, IL (June 22) - The UMP Summernationals returned to Danvile, IL.  Ryan Dauber woud set quick time in group two but couldn't parlay that into a heat win and would finish fourth in his heat, having to earn his way into the A Main via the B Main.  In the B Main, Dauber would start on the pole and lead every lap to record the win and start the A Main from the thirteenth starting spot on the grid.  In te 40-lap main event, Dauber would edge his way into the top 10 and finish ninth.  For complete results and story, visit www.DirtonDirt.com

FAIRBURY, IL (June 21) - With I-55 Raceway cancelling their UMP Summernationals date due to bad weather, several drivers headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway for additional track time, yet still remain close enough to Danville where the UMP Summernationals would continue.  Ryan Dauber was one of those drivers hoping to cash in.  Dauber qualified second quick among the 31 late model entries.  In the fast heat (Lock 8) Dauber would start second and finish second to Jeep Van Wormer.  This would setup Dauber for a outside pole start for the 30-lap A Main.  Dauber quickly jumped out of the gate to take command of the race in front of Van Wormer.  He would remain in that position until lap 28 when Van Wormer was able to move past and take the win.  Wes Steidinger would finish third.

FARMER CITY, IL (June 20) - The UMP Summernationals made their annual vist to Farmer City Raceway Friday night before a packed house of eager race fans.  Ryan Dauber would find himself earning the final transfer spot in heat one with a fourth place finish.  This netted Dauber a starting position of thirteenth for the 40-lap A Main, but would result in a DNF as he would pull pitside once he had been lapped by the leaders. BOSWELL, IN (June 14) - The second round of UMP Summernationals unfolded at Kamp Motor Speedway Saturday night, and the night looked promising for the Ryan Dauber race team early on.  Dauber began the night by qualifying third quickest in group one and seventh overall with a lap of 14.610.  During the first heat race, Dauber was stuck in fourth place and looked to be on the outside looking in when a caution flew with two laps remaining.  That caution allowed Dauber a chance to sneak past third place running Kevin Claycomb for the third and final transfer position and Dauber would set sail from the ninth starting spot in the 40-lap A Main feature.  The feature however did not go as planned as Dauber quickly fell backwards to 18th place before finally pulling off with mechanical trouble and the 22nd place finish would result in a DNF.  For a complete wrap-up visit www.DirtonDirt.com

FARMER CITY, IL (June 13) - Wouldn't you know it, There still some bad luck that goes around on Friday the 13th and as luck would have it, Ryan Dauber found it.  A controversial qualifying effort resulted in Dauber having to claw his way from the back of the pack all night long.  A task he could not overcome when the car was tore up all througout the night in heat race action and the subsequent B Main.  It was Dauber's worst effort of the season as he earned an eighth place heat race finish and an eigth place B Main DNF finish.

CALVERT CITY, KY (June 12) - The opening round of the 20th annual UMP Summernationals found a plethora of quality cars and drivers at the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway Thursday night.  Ryan Dauber was among them, but a liftgate malfunction handcuffed the team from the start as Dauber would get no hotlaps before qualifying began.  It is the same problem that the team had earlier this year following the races at another track.  Dauber did put together a good qualifying lap but was forced to start at the rear due to missing the call.  "I got a good lap turned in, but it was all for naught with the liftgate issues we had.  The lap would have put us on the front row of our heat race." LA SALLE, IL (May 16) - The Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series made its way back to La Salle Speedway Saturday night for the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win Spring Shoot-out.  Ryan qualified fourteenth among the 39 entrants which inclded a handful of World of Outlaws regulars who were on there way to Lincoln Speedway on Sunday.  In heat race action, Dauber started fourth and finished fifth, one spot out of the transfer spot.  This relegated the local star to race his way in through the B Main.  In that event, Dauber started outside the front row and finished second, and would start the A Main from the 19th spot on the grid. Dauber really never mounted a charge from deep in the pack, but did move up when several other hotshoes found trouble on the speedway.  Dauber would go on to be credited with a 16th place finish, one lap off the pace.  Tim McCreadie of Watertown, NY would score the win followed by Brady Smith and John Blankenship.

FARMER CITY, IL (May 15) - Ryan Dauber signed in at Farmer City Raceway tonight after some late day work commitments prevented him from hitting the road to Farley, IA on time.  It wasn't a good night for the Dauber Racing crew as Ryan slipped off the backstretch during heat race two while running fourth and in the final transfer spot.  Dauber made no effort to recover and simply headed straight for the pits with no chance to bring his mount back onto the speedway safely.  With that ninth place finish in the hea race, Dauber had to run a B Main and started at the rear of the field but several near misses involving drivers in front of him made passing cleanly a chore.  With the laps winding down Dauber eased off and decided it was safer to call it a night rather than challenge for any further meaningless positions.  Ryan did qualify sixth fastest amongst the 28 entries.

WHEATLAND, MO (May 9 - 10) - Ryan Dauber and the crew traveled to Wheatland, MO this past weekend in hopes of cashing in at the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series' Diamond Nationals, an event which pays $40,000 to the winner along with a beautiful diamond ring.  After a subpar qualifying effort Friday night, Ryan found himself in a doozy of a heat race lineup where he was slated to start 11th.  In that heat race were eventual Diamond Nationals champ Shannon Babb, Jimmy Owens, Terry Casey, Billy Drake, Clint Smith, and former winner of the event Brian Birkhofer.  The road to a transfer spot seemed virtually impossible and the rain on Saturday, forcing post-ponement of the event to Sunday, proved too much to overcome as track conditions became a concern among many of the drivers.  With work commitments and other variables looming, the team decidied t head back home and skip the event altogether.  The team plans to return to Missouri for the Show-Me 100 later this month.  This weekend the team will head to Farley, IA before returning home to LaSalle, IL for a pair of Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series events.

FAIRBURY, IL (May 3) - With Mother Nature wreaking havoc on the Midwest racing scene and garnering most of the headlines lately, Ryan Dauber's plans to run the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway went by the wayside, and he found himself much closer to home Saturday night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.  With both cars stowed away inside his 5150 hauler, Dauber elected to go with the Rocket Chassis powered by Dargie Racing Engines.  The last of eighteen cars to take their turn at qualifying saw Dauber take fast time honors with a quick time of 12.72, bettering his first lap effort of 12.97 by 1/4 second.

After a redraw amongst the top four qualifiers, Dauber would find himself outside row two for the heat race.  After colliding slightly with  Derek Chandler in turn one of the opening lap, Dauber, to his credit kept the car moving but lost several positions in the process.  With passing at a premiuim during the heats, Ryan could muster no better than a sixth-place finish, which is where he'd set sail from in the 30-lap main event.

Dauber struggled to move forward in the feature, largely in part to several early race cautions, but once the highside opened up, Dauber drove like a man possessed picking off one car at a time until he finally moved around race leader Ryan Unzicker on lap 27.  Two laps later the caution would fly, setting up a two-lap tussle between Dauber and Unzicker.  Dauber wasted no time at all attacking the high side with a vengeance and was able to hold off the hard-charging Unzicker to the stripe for his first win of the 2008 season.  Derek Chandler continued to impress the locals with a stellar third place performance.
